I am now a "Photo Hunter." The weekly Saturday Scavenger Hunt has changed names, but the purpose is the same. Each week we are given a theme and then we must interpret that with a photo we have taken. We can't use someone else's, clip art, or whatever media there is available. It's really fun and I've been doing this for 4 months and loving it.

This week the theme is "New." Considering I just celebrated Christmas, this was a no-brainer. I only had to choose from what I got and take a picture. So scroll down and see what I picked.

Theme: New ** Become a Photo Hunter ** View Blogroll

There are a few "new" things in this photo. First, I'm standing in "newly" fallen Colorado snow. We have gotten so much snow that our governor has declared a state of emergency, so the National Guard can help the harder hit areas. The roads in my city of Colorado Springs are passable at best. For a while today the snow quit falling. But it has started back up, so we will see what happens next. It all depends on how the winds blow, lol.

The motorcycle sweater is "new" and my Biker Bunny is "new." The sweater has a great story behind it. The giver was embarrassed to tell me at first, but I finally got it out of her and, to me, it makes the sweater more special to have. It seems this sweater was first received by one of the girls in my youth Bible study group. She got it as a white elephant gift exchange at her dad's work family Christmas party. She herself had to go to our church's youth group Christmas party the next day and still needed a white elephant gift for it. She decided to use the newly acquired motorcycle sweater. Then my giver, another girl in my youth Bible study ended up with it. She knows how much fun I have with my motorcycle and how I love motorcycle related items and gave it to me as a Christmas gift. You can bet this sweater is no longer being passed on to another person. It fits great and I love it!! I'm just wondering a few things: how long has this wonderful motorcycle sweater been passed around and how many previous people had received it, lol.

Above is Biker Bunny. He is new. Santa brought him to me this Christmas and I love him. He will go on a few trips with me in the new year. He is as cute as can be, but ..shhhhh... don't tell him I said that!! After all, he has a biker bunny image to maintain, lol. And yes, he is wearing a Harley Davidson biker jacket.

Wishing Everyone a Healthy and Prosperous New Year, Biker Betty ;)

It looks like that sweater was welcome with all that snow! One can never have too many stuffed animals, especially with a biker vest! Mine is up too.... Happy New Year!

Although I don't have a motorcycle (yet), I really love the sweater too :). I wouldn't have passed on it either...

Have a blessed New Year :).

PS: I don't think I would enjoy the snow as much as you do.

So that's where all the snow went! We - the Land of Snow - don't have ANY! Well, maybe a couple of drops, but that's as good as none.

The bunny is great - but the sweater... Even if it's red (I don't like red, but then again - it's not me wearing it *grin*) at once I saw the photo I thought it was like made for you! A great gift :)

Thanks for the visit!

Good Photo, I like snow but not too much in Florida. Not as much as you had, while we were on the cruise we had Denver local stations, we could see your snow in Grand Cayman.

Great story with your picture!! I'm sure you are sick of all the snow now, but I have to tell you, I'm a little bit jealous because here in Michigan, we're SUPPOSED to get snow in the winter. But NOOOOO. Not this year. It's like 50 degress. I missed our White Christmas that we were supposed to have. *Sniffle*. Maybe you can bag some of your excess snow and mail it to me??

I really do believe that some things are meant to be ours! That sweater had quite a journey to get to you! Love stories like that! Means your friends are really thinking of you! Great photo! Will you enjoy being snowed in?

Boy, do I know what this is like!! I lived in Colorado for 40+ years and hubby was BORN in the Springs!!

Glad we're in warm, humid country now. I don't miss driving around the streets with black ice and road closures!!!

Mine's posted.

Hey, Betty, thanks for stopping at 2nd cup! I was so curious to get your site because of the name. How do your boys feel about you riding? I am 44, and I have a whole list of things I've never done . . . riding a motorcycle is one! We have friends in Fort Collins--praying all is well in all that snow for you all out there!

Cute sweater! Thankfully we haven't had any snow yet.

Hi Everyone, Since there are so many comments I will be kind of general.

1st - Thanks for all the nice compliments on my motorcycle sweater and the story I shared that went with it.

2nd - looks like we may get a reprieve from the snow here. Will know more by tomorrow afternoon. We were originally suppose to get a bunch of snow thru this night and into tomorrow, but it looks like it's not going to happen.

3rd - I will be sure not to let Biker Bunny know how everyone thought he was soooo cute, lol.

Thank you to everyone for coming by and leaving a message. I have returned the visit, except for Teena. Teena, blogger won't let me leave a message at this time, but I will keep on trying. Your husband's sword tatto is the coolest!

Happy New Year to Everyone and Best Wishes, too.

Biker Betty :)
